Serac and Budé together developed a net weight aseptic monobloc filler/valve placer /crimper delivering 300 cans per minute. The real advantage of this system is that it is designed to meet the highest food safety standards and can be downgraded according to the quality needs within a specific market.

Monobloc design for improved productivity
In the whipped cream market, most of the production lines are working at speeds of around 200 cpm based on 250 ml cans. These lines are made of a filler and a valve placer-crimper, set up on separate frames with a mechanical synchronization using a screw to transfer the cans from one station to the other.
A specific request for a line working at 300 cpm was the occasion for the two companies to come up with a new monobloc concept as conventional design was not compatible with the requested increase of output.
Positive handling is a distinctive feature of the monobloc design:
- Positive transfer of sterile cans all along the process using star wheels: the can inlet into the filler is ensured by a servo-driven screw; no more transfer worm between the stations.
- Positive body holding of the cans for a perfect alignment of the valves, which are placed on a rotary turret in a smooth motion.
Monobloc design for improved aseptic conditions
The compacity of the monobloc design makes it easier to ensure aseptic conditions. Moreover, with the monobloc sloped cladding, the hygiene of the machine is improved: surface cleaning and disinfection cycles can be optimized and automated.
These features add to the benefits of Serac aseptic net weight filler and Multiflow magnetic valves, which provide high filling accuracy and sterility.
The monobloc design also brings additional efficiency benefits such as a secured synchronization, reduced maintenance and more time to perform all the required actions. Changeover time is also reduced, with an easier diameter parts switch and the automatic height adjustment of the complete machine.
The monobloc concept can be used for all aerosols.
We are your aerosol specialist for crimping and gazing of aerosol cans within the medium speed production rates (80 – 600 cpm). Initially our main focus was the whipped cream industry, but the monobloc concept also creates other opportunities. It can be used for all aerosols markets.
Well known for its dairy fillers, Serac is also a specialist in other high demanding markets such as edible oil or home and personal care. Serac’s ability to fill a wide variety of products, including very foamy and very viscous ones, is a perfect fit for Budé’s development strategy.
