Measuring concept

The measuring concept is based on putting mechanical pressure on the sidewall of a can which is an indication of the pressure inside the can. This may sound simple, but it actually is a nifty use of sensor technology, and intelligent learning computing, combined in a mechanical structure that allows for high-speed testing and inline rejection of faulty products.

Once the unit has learned the relationship between sensor reading and the quality standard set, it has proven to be reliable over time with impressive accuracy. Unlike the whipped cream industry, most aerosol manufacturers run shorter runs. Due to its learning capabilities and the option to store this knowledge for future use, changing to another product only requires recalling the knowledge from its memory and when needed, changing to another can size. A job that takes minutes and not hours to do.

The unit can easily be integrated into a production line and the basic version can handle line speeds of up to 150 cans per minute. The design has taken into account environments that require food regulations or ATEX explosion-sensitive conditions.
