Software Engineer
As a software engineer, you are responsible for designing, programming, and implementing industrial automation systems and application software based on specifications and/or information gathered from the client. Maintaining communication with the client regarding project progress, as well as coordinating with other departments and disciplines within the organization on project execution, are also key aspects of your role.
Furthermore, it is the software engineer’s responsibility to ensure the technical and commercial selection of the correct materials and equipment, enabling projects to be completed within budget.
Requirements
You have at least a completed bachelor's or master's degree (HBO or WO) in electrical engineering, control engineering, technical computer science, or industrial automation. Additionally, you have a minimum of three years of work experience in a similar role and demonstrable affinity with technology and automation. Knowledge of bus systems, safety technology, and drive technology is a clear advantage. Proficiency in Siemens S7 is essential, and familiarity with Schneider Electric, Codesys, and Elau is preferred.
You are decisive, proactive, and capable of working effectively under pressure or in challenging situations. You have a no-nonsense attitude and a strong customer- and service-oriented mindset. Furthermore, you are fluent in Dutch and English, and preferably also in German.
