Sausage handling

Sausage handling involves the automated alignment of sausages either on dough or in boxes. The challenge with sausages is that they are difficult to handle and hold due to their greasy skin or frozen state. Additionally, they are not consistent in size and shape. These conditions presented an interesting challenge for Budé, who has succeeded in controlling this process at production speeds typical for industrial bakery environments.

On dough placing

Manually placing sausages on dough is possible but, but becomes increasingly difficult at higher speeds and achieving consistent accuracy is nearly impossible. Automation of aligning the sausage and putting it on the dough is a smart addition to automated production lines.

Depending on the desired output, cost, and availability of labour, the sausages can be fed both manually or automatically. Our machines are easy to transport, disassemble, and clean.

In box placing

Perhaps not equally complex, yet comparably labor-intensive, is the process of packaging sausages into boxes to form sellable units.

The technology has been well-established, and making it work for your specific product and production environment is a topic we would enjoy discussing.
